Fighting resumes in Sri Lanka following brief holiday ceasefire (The Daily Star Lebanon)
Sri Lankan security forces resumed their offensive against Tamil Tiger rebels in the north of the island on Wednesday following a brief holiday ceasefire, the two sides said. The navy attacked two Tiger boats that tried to approach the coastline, killing at least 10 guerrillas, a navy spokesman said.

Animal Crackers and Kinder Ranch Preschools celebrated Easter last Thursday and Friday, April 9 and 10, with egg hunts and other holiday fun. Thursday morning showers cancelled the outdoor egg hunt at Kinder Ranch Preschool, but festivities were quickly moved indoors by parent volunteers.
